The universal health insurance system will begin to apply to individuals working under civil law contracts starting from January 1, 2027. This was announced by Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a working discussion at the National Assembly on the progress of the implementation of the universal health insurance system.

“At present, the system operates only for employees working under employment contracts,” Anahit Avanesyan stated.
