On 15 March, the Corporate Governance Center, organised the 3rd training on the topic “Anti-Corruption Compliance in Business” in the scope of the “Armenia: Promoting Anti-Corruption Conduct and Reforms” Project which is implemented by the “Centre for International Private Enterprise”, the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO, the “Corporate Governance Centre” NGO and the “Yerevan Chamber of Commerce and Industry” with financial support of the National Endowment for Democracy.
The objective of this project is to improve understanding of Armenia's business sector on anti-corruption compliance and its practical application, as well as the promotion of public-private partnerships to support anti-corruption reforms.
The essence of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Program, the key components and the basic principles of formation were introduced to the training participants. The international experience, advantages and main benefits of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Program were presented as well.
Ms Narine Melikyan, President of Corporate Governance Centre introduced to participants the information about the code of conduct, corporate policies and procedures. She also explained how to develop them.
Trainer, Mr. Aharon Chilingaryan, member of Board of the Armenian Institute of Directors, which is the sister organisation Corporate Governance Centre, the partner of BDO Accounting, Tax & Legal CJSC presented the typical risks of anti-corruption compliance: how to identify and specify them and also the ways to manage and disclose risks in the company.
