The Corporate Governance Center organized and held the fifth training on the topic “Anti-Corruption Compliance in Business” in the scope of the “Armenia: Promoting Anti-Corruption Conduct and Reforms” Project implemented in cooperation with the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and the Yerevan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support of the “Center for International Private Enterprise”.
The objective of this project is to improve the perception of compliance among Armenia’s business sector and its practical application, as well as promoting public-private partnerships to support anti-corruption reforms.
Ms Narine Melikyan, the Chairwoman of the Corporate Governance Center, presented to the attention of the participants of the training the institute of anti-corruption compliance, its relevance and the necessity for companies.
Mr. Aharon Chilingaryan, member of Board of the Armenian Institute of Directors, which is the sister organization Corporate Governance Centre, the partner of BDO Accounting, Tax & Legal CJSC, presented how companies should develop and disclose the anti-corruption commitment. He also spoke about protection of employees from persecution and pressure.
