The BizProtect attaches importance to the efficiency of mutual cooperation in the business field in order to ensure stable economic activity.

The alarm addressed to BizProtect referred to the inappropriate response of the state body to the problem raised by the economic entity, which prevents the latter from applying to the RA Ministry of Nature Protection to get a water use permit.          

On 28.02.2019, the founding director of "Arkansa" LLC Hrachya Hovsepyan addressed BizProtect with the following request:

"An agreement on the right to use the Geghi-Yeghvard water pipeline, which is on the balance of the Water Committee, is needed: but during the discussions in the Committee I was informed that although this business project does not hinder the irrigation system, yet it cannot be provided at the moment. However, after conducting research, addressing the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and talking to other existing SHPPs, I realized that there is no such legal obstacle. And for already 4 months they do not provide me the right and do not even respond to the letter. At the same time during the face-to-face meeting, they dare to say that it is their pipe, and if it will be expedient they will provide it and if otherwise they will not. The Water Committee has been using this style of work for years, and now, I don't think there's any reason or ground to reject, so they just ignore the letter and hinder me from taking the next step to get a water use permit from the Ministry of Nature Protection.

The expert team of the BizProtect, studying the submitted request, submitted a letter on the issue to the Chairman of the Water Committee of the RA MTAI to understand what the above-mentioned legislative barriers that hinder the implementation of normal business activities are.  As a result, the alarm was satisfied, and the whistleblower received the water use permit he needed.
